Trolley No. US-179 was developed for use under conditions where load distribution requires concentration of 1000 pounds on two wheels. This extra duty has been built into these trolleys by the use of a more powerful yoke and wheel assembly together with heavier axles. The two wheel trolley shown is rated well within its capacity with an ample factor of reserve strength. |
This heavy-duty two wheel trolley was equipped with side rollers to maintain guided alignment of trolley wheels particularly where constant, power operated service is required such as an automatic Monotractor drive units. Application of side rollers to the two-wheel trolley indicates that this must be used in pairs since any rocking action of a load would tend to set-up interference with the side rollers. The application of side rollers to these heavy duty trolleys assures constant operation of carriers under extreme conditions particularly in an automatic dispatch system. Load bar and hook arrangements for these trolleys are the same as original four and eight wheel trolleys of equal capacity. |

US Monorail Trolleys Nos. US-264 have been designed to meet the need for conveying equipment in the hundreds of applications where the many comparatively light loads to be handled do not justify the cost of the heavier duty trolleys. Where the application is for light loads and requires a great many trolleys, the great carrying strength of the US Monorail rail section will permit a wider spacing of hangers and the covering of longer spans. In most cases this will eliminate special supporting super structure, bringing the cost of both equipment and installation down to a point where, for even very light service, the investment is justified. For certain condition of service, the land rating can be increased. Consult factory for recommendations, giving complete conditions of use. Not recommended for use with hoists. |

No. A-150 two wheel trolley is generally used in pairs for hoists, racks or other load carriers of 1000-pound capacity.
